Exploring Portland, NSW with Soundtrails: A Unique Audio Experience

Following our recent appointment by Ecorr, owners of The Foundations Portland in Portland NSW, Reactivate is making significant strides in transforming this former company cement town into a vibrant arts, science, and cultural destination. Our Place Activation Plan is now in full swing, and we are excited to share the progress with you.

Portland is a town with a rich history and a tightly knit local community, both of which are cherished assets in our activation efforts. The first few things that strike visitors to Portland is its stunning coastal scenery, surrounded by pristine beaches, rugged cliffs, and sparkling ocean waters, offering plenty of opportunities for outdoor adventures.

One of the key activations that have garnered attention is the Portland Soundtrails. It is an innovative audio guide that takes you on a journey through the town, revealing its hidden gems and untold stories. As you explore Portland's streets, parks, and landmarks, you'll hear fascinating tales of the town's past, narrated by locals who have lived and breathed its history. The use of location-based storytelling, using GPS technology, the audio guide identifies your location, triggering the right stories and information as you move through the town.
