We at Reactivate are delighted to announce our collaboration with the City of Launceston on a project aimed at enhancing the activation and vitality of the CBD. Alongside SGS Economics and Planning, we have been tasked with preparing a comprehensive white paper that delves into the current state of shopfronts and overall activation within the city centre.
Our approach involves a meticulous analysis of various data points, coupled with extensive stakeholder engagement, to gain a holistic understanding of the factors contributing to the high shopfront vacancy rate and the lack of street life and activation in the CBD. By synthesizing this information, we aim to unearth valuable insights that will inform our recommendations for future improvements.
The white paper will present a series of key findings and actionable recommendations spanning infrastructure, programming, and governance. These recommendations will be designed to catalyse positive change and drive increased vibrancy and engagement within the CBD, ultimately fostering a more dynamic and thriving urban environment.
We are committed to leveraging our expertise in place activation to support the City of Launceston in realizing its vision for a vibrant and inviting city centre. Together, we look forward to laying the groundwork for transformative initiatives that will enhance the vitality and attractiveness of Launceston's CBD for residents, visitors, and businesses alike.
