Project Type: Place Activation Analysis and Advice
Year: 2022
Client: City of Launceston
The City of Launceston engaged Reactivate and SGS Economics and Planning to prepare a white paper that investigated the current state of the shopfront and CBD activation. The paper analysed a number of data points plus stakeholder engagement to identify the factors driving the high shopfront vacancy rate and lack of activation and street life within the CBD. The paper outlined a series of key findings and recommendations relating to infrastructure, program, and governance to drive future improvements to the activation of the CBD.
