NEON Night Time Economy forum in Sydney

What an incredible two days at the NEON Night Time Economy forum in Sydney last week!

Presented by the New South Wales Government’s Office of the 24-Hour Economy Commissioner, the  event bought together international and local experts to share and discuss the latest trends, challenges and developments in night-time economies.

There were many highlights with night time talent from around the world, but just a couple of our favourite talks and panels were;

  • The future of festivals and immersive entertainment

  • A Human centred approach to night time design by Andreina Seijas

  • The Uptown showcase, highlighting many of the incredible night time districts from around NSW we have worked with

  • Insights from Tallin’s and Tokyo’s night time economies from Natalie Mets and Tak Umezawa

  • Mark McCrindle’s talk on Australia’s changing demographics and its impact on the night time.

Our director Andrew spoke on interesting panel with Simone D’Antonia from UBRACT and Cities After Dark and Andreina Seijas of Night Tank / Gehl Cities for People, about Placemaking at night and activating urban environments after dark.

And great to see screen, sound and the 24 hour economy coming now under one new group in the NSW Government!
