Project Type: Place Strategy, Activation Strategy, Stakeholder Engaging and Precinct Management/Activation Delivery
Year: 2018-2023
Client: Cbus Property
Reactivate was commissioned to design two place activation strategies (pre-construction and post-completion) for a major three-tower residential, mixed-use precinct in northern Sydney. Situated opposite Epping Train Station, this remarkable mixed-use development has provided us with a unique opportunity to engage with the project from its inception, including community engagement, placemaking strategy development, and on-the-ground activations.
Additionally, Reactivate submitted a development application for regular fortnightly markets within The Langston's public domain, connecting Langston Place and Chambers Court. These markets will foster community connections and provide a platform for local businesses to thrive. Working closely with the community every step of the way, Reactivate has led the community and stakeholder engagement in addition to place activations. Our journey began with The Langston Weekender festival in 2018 and continued with various initiatives such as the Meet Your Neighbour activities for new residents during winter 2022.
