Project Type: Engagement, Business Activation and Precinct Strategy
Year: 2023
Client: Sunshine Coast Council
Sunshine Coast Council is investing in the future of Mooloolaba through the Mooloolaba Foreshore Revitalisation Project, one of the largest investments in community infrastructure in the LGA in 25 years. Council is currently preparing to embark on Stage 2 of the Project, which incorporates a new beachfront park, new community amenities, better accessibility and the replacement of an existing seawall.
In preparation for Stage 2, Reactivate are working closely with Sunshine Coast Council and Mooloolaba’s business community to prepare a Business Activation Plan for Mooloolaba Foreshore. Using our comprehensive understanding of activation and construction mitigation practices, the Business Activation Plan will include best practice approaches for pre-construction, during construction and post-construction phases to ensure local business are supported during the process.
Throughout the process, Council, with the support of Reactivate, will continue to work closely with stakeholders to manage and minimise disruptions throughout the construction process and empower local businesses through business support and capacity building. This process has already begun, with Reactivate preparing an Engagement Plan to guide engagement activities and communications during the project, an online survey to understand the needs and concerns of local businesses, and a door-knocking campaign to local businesses.
Reactivate are committed to ensuring local businesses along the Mooloolaba Foreshore ensure the voices of local businesses are heard and supported throughout the construction process.
